Busy Bee

I have had computer problems and also been busy. Been helping daughter Megan with some painting and remodeling. We also ordered the tiny cabin and it will be here within 2 weeks. Have had fun checking out thriftstores for items to furnish it with. Joseph , Melody's husband is making my kitchen table. I wanted a small one with 2 chairs so it wouldn't take up a lot of room. I wanted it to look primitive so he used rough cut planks to make the top. The legs are going to be small tree trunks. The top is done and looks perfect and the legs will be on tomorrow. Its awesome seeing how primitive I can make this cabin with little or no money. Will take photos when its all done. Been taking the grands to Vacation Bible School. They are having a fun time. Also one grandson has football practice 3 times a week and a granddaughter has cheerleading practice. Things are never dull around here! The photos are of Tish, the puppy I spoiled while Megan and family were on vacation. She is 12 weeks old now.

Home Sweet Homes?

I go from my home in Fayetteville to having several places to call home. My youngest daughter and husband are purchasing a one room prebuilt cabin. It will be set up next to their home for me. It will be my own little home to decorate and live in. My middle daughter and husband are asking me what plans I like so they can build me a mother in law cottage on their property. I can decorate and live there. My oldest daughter already has a mother in law house but she and her hubby are redoing the roof and some remodeling. Its there for me anytime I want to go there (Tennessee) Its nice knowing I have 3 homes to stay in and not worry about disrupting their households. I can be near each one yet be in my own space. I have been looking at cabin photos online today. Dreaming about decor and placement of furniture. Its nice to have something to dream about. Not sure what the future holds for me but am blessed to have home sweet homes near my wonderful daughters and families.
Yesterday I went out to lunch with middle daughter, son in law and granddaughter. Tonight I went out to dinner with oldest daughter and family, and middle daughter and family. It was lots of fun and laughter. Youngest daughter is at beach with family while I puppy sit. The puppy is so spoiled I think I am in trouble when they get back. LOL

A Day With The Grands

Where do they get all that energy? After chores they spent the day in the woods building a "tepee village" and traps all around it covered with moss so no one could sneak up on them. They each built their own tepee from brush and small trees that Joseph wanted cleared anyway. They just had fun while doing it. Even BoBo had fun being guard dog for the village.

We finished the day and way into the night with a game of monopoly. I didn't think that game would ever end but at 2am we had a winner (Zack). I am puppy sitting this weekend while Megan and family go to the beach. Tish (puppy) and I have the place all to ourselves till Sunday night. The grands ask if I was going to party but I am just going to enjoy being alone with all the peace and quiet. Its been a long long time since I have been totally alone for any length of time. Have a wonderful weekend, I know I will!

A Wonderful Day

I am so blessed! My daughter Megan came over and picked me up for a mom daughter day. We went shopping and she bought me a nice (in style) pair of jeans and a cute top. Then we were off for a haircut. I haven't had my hair cut in almost a year. It was so long I had been keeping it in a ponytail to stay out of my face. I told the stylist to have her way and cut it anyway she wished. I love it! Not only do I feel 5lbs lighter getting the weight of that long hair off I look so much better! My granddaughter Raigun saw me and said "Grandma you look so much better". LOL She keeps coming in the room and telling me how much she loves my haircut. The other grands say I look years younger so guess I meet their approval too. We also went out to lunch and walked around a antique mall. It was so nice to spend time with my daughter and the other things were just extra blessings. Felt so good enjoying the day and not worrying about things for a little while. Tonight the grands and I have a date for a board game of Life. I am overflowing with blessings today! I have faith that God has a reason for things happening. Its a blessing having your friendship and prayers.
