Snowy Tuesday

Today has been cold with snow flurries. We had rain for 5 days and the road flooded which meant some nice quiet time at the cabin. Enjoyed staying in and not going anywhere for a few days. Today I had Baby E as she is still sick. Her cough is worse so she stayed with me instead of going to daycare. I met Melody at the doctors this afternoon so hopefully Baby E will get better soon. Grandson#4 has a wrestling match this evening. I wil be taking him so Melody can stay home with the baby. Have been knitting and sewing on some projects. Watching old movies. Megan has alot of my mother's old VHS tapes and I am enjoying all of them. We are planning our garden and Brian will be plowing the ground tomorrow. The girls and their families are already planning their summer vacations and asking em to go along. Will have to see when the time gets closer. I am almost over my cold and the rest of the family seem to be slowly getting over theirs. This one sure wore us all out. Will be back to posting rergularly the first of Feb. Expecting more snow Thrusday, Friday and Saturday..... I can't wait. Tomorrow I will be keeping baby E so she can rest. Melody is busy at work and after being sick herself doesn't have any days to take right now. So things are still moving along here. God has blessed me well. Take care and will catch up on all of you very soon...... I promise

Hello Peggy
So the snow finally made an appearance lol.........lets hope your area doesn't have the problems other areas did with road closures etc.
Winter coughs and colds can be hard on families - not good when little ones are sick tho'. Baby E is lucky she has all of you to give her the dedicated care she needs
Take care
Cathy

It seems funny to see that you've had snow today but are plowing tomorrow. Doesn't your ground freeze like ours does? We can't do anything in the garden till May and we are told not to plant till the last weekend in May because there is still the risk of frost.
Hope you and your family's improvement continues..

Glad you are feeling better Peggy... You and your family have all had a rough winter healthwise haven't you???? I guess that's normal when there are alot of kids around. BabyE's family are lucky to have you all.

We're expecting some bad weather on Thurs/Fri here also... But--knowing us, we'll just have rain and the snow will miss us!!!! We haven't had too much snow at all here so far this winter. I hope we get at least one good one.

Hugs,
Betsy

good morning Peggy. I am sorry you and the family have been sick. This years colds are hard to get rid of. Mine responded to raw garlic. Once I started adding raw fresh garlic a whole head at a time to my evening meals I finally got it to go away. Flash doesn't care what my breath smells like! If you guys can stand it do it. don't cook it though. when you are getting ready to eat clean a whole head of garlic and put it through the garlic press directly into your food. Kids probably won't eat it though. Enjoy the peace. I am glad you are there to help.

Hi Peggy, glad you're feeling better. We're getting over killer colds also - think this is week three. Starting to have a little energy but boy did this wipe me out. Stay warm.

I know what it is like to watch old movies on VHS tapes. A couple of years ago, I bought at a yard sale, about twenty tapes a lady had meticulous loaded with movies from the TV show "Saturday Night at the Movies" These tapes have 4 movies on each tape.
The lot cost me $10. I have gotten my money's worth with so many classic movies on tape.

It is the 28th today. We have just come through a suprisingly warm spell with the temperature up near freezing. It ended with a couple of days of rain but now we are back to normal. It is -17 C at this moment on its way down to -22 C tonight.
We have had little snow so far. We had the one storm two months ago and got a foot. We have been enjoying that ever since with very little added. Yesterday we got about 3 inches. (Not enough to bring the plow out to do our road. It did freshen things up a little. There is still five weeks left for some serious Winter weather so we may see more snow and cold yet.

I pray that you and yours will soon be done with the cold and flu. Hubby is coming down with a bad cough and not feeling to well. Hope it don't last long.
We are having some terribly cold days and nights.
Still have very tall drifts in my yard.
I am so wanting warm weather.
I get to take care of baby T tonight while mom and older brother go to swim meet. Love the chances to play with him.
God bless
