Christmas Tree

Last week Megan bought me a little white Christmas tree at a thrift store.
She also bought a string of mini lights. I spent $1.00 on a angel topper
Thanks to Marci sending me her mom's embroidery floss I stitched some ornaments for the tree.
I also made some cinnamon, applesauce ornaments. They really make the tree smell nice.
When Rusty and I went on a walk we took some items from Mother Nature to help decorate the tree. In the above photo you can see some of the rose hips we stuck all around the tree. We also gathered some dried weeds and scattered them among the branches.
Its not the 19 trees I use to decorate and display all through the farmhouse, but its perfect for our little cabin Christmas.
And the best part... I only spent a little time and $1.00!

Hi Peggy, Isn't it amazing how much we can find to decorate with when we don't have much money??? Your tree is gorgeous--and it probably means more to you than any of the ones in the farmhouse. Your kids and grands are just so good to you. How special is that.
Hugs,
Betsy

I love your tree. I tried to make a homemade ornament today, but I'm not too sure you'll ever see a picture of it ;=)

Sis...it's beautiful...like you:-) I just love the ornaments you made for it. I was looking in a magazine just the other day and saw they had a recipe for the applesauce cinnamon ornaments and I intend to make some. I can just imagine how good the house smells with them hanging in the tree!! xoxo
