Saturday was spent doing some cleaning, walking with Rusty and going to grandson's football game. Today is a lazy day. Going to do some stitching on Christmas ornaments, watch a movie, and a lazy walk with Rusty. Hope you have a blessed day!
Bright October
I know no other season
So filled with warmth and cheer
As on these bright October days
When autumn time is here.
The hills have turned from summer's green
To dazzling red and gold;
The flower beds and brighter, too,
So festive to behold!
The harvest yield is gathered in;
God sends His gifts anew.
Each roadside stand, a harvest fair
That warms the heart of you.
A bluish haze on distant hills,
The maple's scarlet flame;
And oak trees dressed in Joseph-coats
Stands guard along the lane.
Of all the seasons of the year,
Each one with beauty blessed,
I hold to Autumn's warmth and cheer--
I like October best!

Hi Peggy, Sounds like a good way to spend Sunday afternoon. We are having clouds and expect rain by Monday. That is such a pretty poem about Autumn. Maybe you can take a few photos of Rusty and Troubles on your walk!
Beautiful poem, Peggy. I am having a lazy day here also---watching my football team get creamed!!!! Gads!!!!
Thank you so much for you kind words about my brother's death. It has been hard for me--but in my heart, I do know that Ray is in a better place--but it still hurts to lose him here on earth. Thanks again. You are special.
Have a nice, quiet, calm Sunday.
Hugs,
Betsy
Hi Peggy. What kind of stitching do you do? I love counted cross stitch and just ordered some more Christmas patterns (like I don't already have more than I could ever do in my lifetime).
Oops! Sorry to be sending you more rain but I am glad it is finally moving out of here.
Been a dark drizzly day so far, I noticed on the map that the intire state of Tenn is now having rain and guess where it is going!
Sounds like the perfect kind of day, sis:-) Hope your week is a great one!! Love you! xoxo
