A Little Thrift Store Shopping

Yesterday I left a little early to pick the grands up from school. Decided to stop at a couple of thriftstores. It was a perfect day! I found a bundle of curtains for $4.00 that matched a pair Megan had given me. When I got the bundle home there was not only enough curtains for the other 2 windows but also the door! I will post pictures as soon as I get them all put up. I had been looking for something to put on the wall over a window. Everything I found seemed too modern for the cabin until I saw this. For only $1.00!
There was a cute little pie holder with a clay pie just waiting on me to take it home for $1.00
For only 25 cents each a corn husk doll and 2 pumpkins found a new home on my outdoor window shelf.
I couldn't leave this Home Interior bowl sitting at the store since it was only 75 cents. It now hold taffy, candy corn and pumpkins for the grands and I to enjoy. Yep, thanks to thrift store shopping the cabin is looking a lot like fall.

Peggy, this looks wonderful. I only have a couple of decorations out. I love autumn but seem to decorate more for Christmas. So glad your cabin is becoming a home. Your apple bread recipe sounds delicious. Will have to try it next week when I can pick up some apples.

I'm so glad you had such good fortune shopping. :) Your little home is looking very sweet---so happy for you.

And your background looks great too. Has that primitive look you like so much.

Hello Peggy
Its marvellous what you can find - these just had your name on them.
Those 'finds' will give the place just the seasonal look you want.

The cabin is looking decidedly autumnal and very pretty! Neets has been putting out the fall decorations as our visitor from Holland arrives this evening.

I should not have read this. It's making me want to go thrift shopping again. I do not NEED to carry anything else in to this little house. lol It's over crowded with my precious thrift finds as it is.
